A part of our project has involved commissioning six local artists to create original imagery inspired by the events of 1697. We wanted to do this because, despite the story being such a vivid and fantastical one, very few images exist that portray it in any way. Our artists were provided with a specific scene to interpret, given original source material from the story of 1697, and advice whenever required.
